The High Peak Trail starts at Cromford near Matlock and finishes at Dowlow near Buxton. It is 17 miles long and passes through some terrific scenery. There are access points at various points along the way, with car parking. Many outstanding features of the Peak District are accessible, such as Minning low Barrow, Harbough Chair etc. The High Peak Trails joins the Tissington Trail at Parsley Hay. The Pennine Bridleway takes in most of the High Peak Trail, starting at Middleton Top for access by bycycle and starting at Hartinton for horse riding.
