The Tissington cycle trail starts just outside of Ashbourne and finishes at Parsley Hay near the village of Hartington. It is a scenic 13 miles long trail and follows the old Ashbourne to Buxton railway route. There are many car parking points along the route with access to the trail. Bicycles can be hired from at the start of the trail in Ashbourne, or you can take your own bicycle. There is access to the High Peak Trail and the Pennine Bridle Way.
