Chee Dale starts just outside the spa town of Buxton and runs into Millers Dale, where its waters disappear underground and emerge about 50 yards away in a number of springs that form the head waters of the River Wye that runs along Millers Dale. Its waters run between steep limestone cliffs, and the path that runs alongside it, at one point disappears on a bend, to continue as stepping stones which are often submerged in wet weather.
