Some of the more interesting features of this large Manifold Valley are Thor's Cave, near Wetton, and the disappearance and re-appearance of the River Manifold from its river bed. Thor's Cave is a prominent land mark, visible from miles away. There is a cycle trail along the Manifold Valley, which is just 15 minutes away by car from our cottage in Alstonefield.
