The beauty of Mill Dale is often overlooked as alongside the River Dove lies a minor road that leads to the village of Milldale. Much of the valley is walked by using the road. Milldale is a short but attractive dale linking Wolfscote Dale to Dove Dale. A 15 minute walk from our cottage in Alstonefield, over a footpath through a series of small fields, leads directly to Mill Dale and Dove Dale.
