The River Wye springs at the head of Millers Dale (from waters disappearing underground in Chee Dale) and flows into Water-cum-Jolly and thence into Monsal Dale. A mile of this Dale is traversed along a minor road that runs alongside the River Wye, before changing back to a footpath.
